A study summarized by AJMC finds that among 2,784 Epic-using US hospitals, 62.6% have adopted ambient AI tools that capture patient–clinician conversations and generate draft clinical notes. Adoption is substantially higher in nonprofit hospitals than in for-profit ones, illustrating rapid real-world uptake of clinical AI documentation tools.
